It’s that time of year again- back to school (which no one is all that thrilled about unless, of course, you spent the summer entertaining your kids). With back to school brings back the endless task of figuring out what to pack for lunch. Well, today, we’re getting into tons of healthy school lunches you can whip up for your kids all school year.

Homemade Over Pre-Made Lunches
So, we all know there’s an easy solution when it comes to school lunches, which is the classic Lunchable or it’s equivalent. Although they may be easy and convenient, they aren’t very good for the kiddos. If you know they aren’t going t expire anytime soon- that should be your first red flag not to add it to your cart. These kinds of options are ultra-processed with mystery ingredients we’ve never heard of.
Instead, I recommend spending the extra time and giving your kids a delicious and healthy lunch they’re going to thank you for in 3-6 years. Growing up, my mom always made my lunches and looking back, I’m glad I wasn’t a Lunchable kid, and your kids will thank you too! By broadening the horizon for your kid’s palate, you’re opening them up to be less picky and be way more willing to try new things when they’re older.
Of course, when sending the kiddos to school with a healthy lunch, you’re also making sure they’re getting the most nutritious option available, which I’m sure is what we’re all striving for. Of course, it doesn’t hurt to throw in the odd bag of chips and dunkaroos, your kids still deserve a little joy ;).
