How to Make Cheese and Turkey Pinwhells

Tips for Perfect Cheese and Turkey Pinwheels
- Do as I say, not as I do! I HIGHLY recommend adding your spreadable cheese last! This will help your tortilla stick to itself and prevents your pinwheels from falling apart. I didn't do this the first time. There was regrets.
- If you're looking for a thin slice of cucumber I like to use a potato peeler, plus all your slices will be the same thickness!
- Switch things up with different flavours of tortillas! For this recipe I used jalapeno cheddar, but you can use whatever one you like!
Let’s Talk Substitutions
Well. When it comes to substitutions they really are endless! You can switch up the tortilla for any flavour you like or go with a keto wrap instead. For meats, you can go with ham or chicken instead. Cheese, it’s really endless, but I prefer to go with an older cheese, so it has more flavour! For veggies, you can add in some lettuce too, or replace the cucumber with it. Lastly, a less healthy (but so delicious) option is to use cream cheese instead of laughing cow cheese. If you plan on substituting with cream cheese, then I recommend leaving it out for at least 20 minutes before making your pinwheels to make it easier to spread!
Why You'll Love It
- Pinwheels are a classic snack or appetizer that everyone loves! There are so many ways to make them, and they're just too easy to make. With little prep time and basically no equipment pinwheels make for the perfect snack to make for kids for school, or to serve at your next family/friend gathering. Pinwheels are keep in the fridge if you plan on making them ahead, but I can guarantee you won't have too many leftovers if you plan on serving them at your next gathering!
What to Serve with Cheese and Turkey Pinwheels
For your cheese and turkey pinwheels, you really don’t have to serve them with anything since they’re just as delicious all by themselves. With that being said I served these with my delicious spicy kale and edamame dip (my version of the addictive Farm Boy dip). This dip is beyond addictive, and is good with just about everything. It’s the perfect blend of creamy, spicy and garlic that pairs nicely with the pinwheels! If you want to check out the recipe click on the link above!
