What is St. Patrick’s Day?

In Ireland, St. Patrick’s Day is to honour the death of their Patron Saint Patrick and is held on the 17th of March. St. Patrick’s Day here in North America is often associated with wearing green, bringing out shamrock & rainbow decorations, and having a party!

How to Make A Shamrock-Shaped Sandwich?

I used a cookie cutter to make the shamrock shape for this recipe. I purchased it on Amazon, which you can find the link down below!

For this recipe, you want to choose a slightly bigger cookie cutter like the one I have above; however, if you already have one lying around- go for it!

As you’ll see in the tutorial below, I cut the entire sandwich as one; however, you can also choose to cut the ingredients individually and layer them on top.

Can I Make Alternatives?

Absolutely! You don’t have to stick to any particular ingredient in this recipe to make it yummy. For the cheese, you can really use whatever kind you like. I chose to go with an old white cheddar because I love that tangy flavour it provides.

Secondly, I went with a sliced turkey; however, you can choose to go with a ham or chicken as well! So, again, it’s whatever you prefer.

Lastly, I went with mustard because it’s a low-calorie option, but you can also choose to go with a mayo mixture as well.

For the cucumbers, I added them in to provide a crunch factor. For the cucumbers, it’s really a love or hate them situation, so you can decide to include them or not.
