Now the question you may be asking is, why ricotta toast? If you’ve ever had burrata, you know the love affair with soft cheese. The only problem with burrata is that it’s quite expensive. Where I am, a ball of burrata will run you $12.
Enter ricotta, which has a similar profile of the creamy center of burrata but is HALF the price. There are so many variations you can do with this recipe, so today, we’re going over 5 different recipes for ricotta toast!

What is Ricotta?
Ricotta is an Italian cheese traditionally used for lasagna, stuffed shells, and cannolis. It’s a soft cheese similar to burrata (which was the inspo for this series)

Again, this is always up for debate, but I would agree yes, it is a healthy option, especially because there are TONS of variations you can do to add in veggies.

Ingredients
Classic Ricotta Toast
- 1 slice baguette (about 2 x 2 inches)
- 1 drizzle extra virgin olive oil
- 2 tbsp ricotta
- sprinkle salt & pepper
Sundried Tomato Ricotta Toast
- 1 slice baguette
- 2 tbsp ricotta
- 2 pieces sliced sundried tomato
- 1 tbsp pesto
Honey Walnut Ricotta Toast
- 1 slice baguette
- 2 tbsp ricotta
- 1 tsp honey
- 1 tsp crushed walnuts
Tomato & Basil Ricotta Toast
- 1 slice baguette
- 2-3 sliced cherry tomatoes
- 1 torn basil leaf
- drizzle extra virgin olive oil

Avocado Ricotta Toast
- 1 slice baguette
- 2 tbsp ricotta
- 1/4 cup avocado
- sprinkle salt & pepper
Instructions
Classic Ricotta Toast
- Begin by slicing your baguette and popping your toast in the toaster.
- Scoop out your ricotta and spread it over top.
- Drizzle with oil police & sprinkle with salt/pepper

- Begin by toasting your baguette in the toaster
- Spread your ricotta over top & your pesto over top of the ricotta
- slice your sundried tomatoes & add them to your baguette
