Why Meal Prep for the Week? 

I don’t know how many times Monday rolls around and I have nothing planned for the week ahead. Next thing you know you’re sitting there at work with nothing to eat, which leads you to just go out and get something quick. We both know this isn’t what we want and eating out and I’ve been 10 times more expensive than if we were to just make it ourselves.

 

With Sunday meal prep and able to take the guesswork out of what you’re eating for the week ahead and you can feel good knowing that you’re eating healthy and nutritious meals you can feel good about.

 

Whether you’re a busy mom trying to plan ahead for the kids, working that night to five life, or a university student with little extra time having meal prep for the week because the easiest way to stay on top of those healthy living goals.

My Favourite Kind of Meal Prep

There are a few dishes that just makes sense to meal prep. One of the most convenient meal prep options are stirfries. They are the easiest way to get all your veggies carbs and protein all in one dish. Stirfries also tend to be lower in calories, but offer the perfect balance of carbs, fat, and protein.

 

But that being said, my all-time favourite meal prep has to be soup. Now, for my southern girlies I understand no one’s trying to have soup when it’s 30°C out, but for my Northern girlies it’s the easiest meal prep for those fall and winter meal prep days. I love meal prepping soup because it’s a one-pot dish that can easily get you 5 to 6 servings per recipe. They’re also hundreds of soup recipes to try so you’ll never get bored of the same old soup. Like our stir fries, you can get all your veggies, carbs and protein all in one pot, and it’s the perfect meal to warm you up when it’s freezing outside!
